A pair of English teacups from the Victorian era (1840/1870).
"His" has a moustache guard (see detail in the photos); most men carried a moustache in those days. Few of these special cups have survived in good condition to this day. The cups are probably of industrial production, but these two are finely hand-painted on all four sides.
They are in excellent condition, with no visible damages, with the exception of small spots on the handles, where the paint has slightly peeled off. Both cups have some small defects inside them, but they are original production defects.

Coppia di tazze da tè inglesi di epoca vittoriana (1840/1870).
Il "Lui" ha una protezione per i baffi (vedi dettaglio nelle foto); la maggior parte degli uomini portava i baffi a quei tempi. Pochissime di queste tazze sono sopravvissute in buone condizioni fino ad oggi. Le tazze sono probabilmente di produzione industriale, ma queste due sono finemente dipinte a mano su tutti e quattro i lati.
Sono in ottime condizioni, senza danni visibili, ad eccezione di piccole macchie sui manici, dove la vernice si è leggermente staccata. Entrambe presentano al loro interno dei piccoli difetti, ma sono difetti originali di produzione.
