Vintage gondola souvenir of Venice
Decorated with real shells and a dried seahorse at the stern.
This gondola, probably from the 1930s / 40s, is made of papier-mâché, the curtain is the original fabric and the "corals" are red colored corn kernels.
A kitschy but extremely decorative object, which takes us back to a less electronic era.

Decorata con conchiglie vere ed un cavalluccio essiccato a poppa.
Questa gondola , probabilmente degli anni '30/40, e' di cartapesta, la tenda in vero tessuto, originale ed i "coralli" sono chicchi di mais colorati di rosso.
Un oggetto kitsch, ma estremamente decorativo, che ci riporta ad un epoca meno elettronica.
