This rare miniature from the late 1800s deviates from the typical pictorial style of formal portraits, to give way to the new stylistic trends of Art Nouveau. Probably painted on ivory and set with a beautiful frame from the same period, it has recently been reframed.

Questa rara miniatura della fine del 1800, si discosta dal tipico stile pittorico dei ritratti formali, per cedere il passo alle nuove tendenze stilistiche dell'Art Nouveau. Probabilmente dipinta su avorio e inquadrata con una bella cornice della stessa epoca, e' stata rimontata recentemente.
