Miniature portrait on ivory, perhaps of an English officer; from the second half of 1700. It is framed in a leather portrait holder which lacks the front. Evidently not as old, the case bears the mark of the recognized photographic studio W. Shew, from San Francisco, which operated during the second half of the 1800s.

Miniatura su avorio, ritratto forse di un ufficiale Inglese; della seconda meta' del 1700. E' incorniciata in un porta ritratto in pelle a cui manca la parte anteriore. Il porta ritratto, evidentemente meno antico, ha la marca del riconosciuto studio fotografico W. Shew di San Francisco, che opero' durante la seconda meta' del 1800.
