"The traditional Japanese kimono has no pockets. To carry money and everyday objects, the Inro Sagemono, or medicinal box, were carried suspended from the Obi, the traditional kimono belt.
They were used for medicines, tobacco, and sometimes for opium.
Entirely hand-carved and made from a single piece of noble hardwood. In good conditions, but the hinge and closure are damaged.

Il kimono tradizionale Giapponese non ha tasche. Per portare soldi ed oggetti di uso quotidiano, le Inro Sagemono, o scatola medicinale, erano portate sospese al Obi, la tradizionale cintura del kimono.
Erano utilizzate per le medicine, il tabacco e, a volte, per l'oppio.
Interamente scolpita a mano e ricavata da un solo pezzo di legno nobile.
