Inlaid paperweight
Rectangular paperweight, with a marble base. On the upper side is a thin piece of wood decorated with inlays of mother-of-pearl, marble, metal and other materials. We believe that this object might be the work of a Middle Eastern artist, probably from the second half of the 19th century.
The inlay is in good conditions, has no missing pieces, but it shows some signs of aging; the marble base has two damaged corners.

Fermacarte intarsiato
Fermacarte rettangolare, con base in marmo. Sul lato superiore e' incollata una lamina di legno decorata con intarsi di madreperla, marmo, metallo e altri materiali. Crediamo che questo oggetto possa essere opera di un artista medio orientale, probabilmente della seconda meta' del XIX secolo.
L'intarsio e' in buone condizioni e non ha pezzi mancanti, ma mostra qualche segno del tempo; la base di marmo ha due angoli danneggiati.
