Chinese pendant in the shape of a butterfly decorated with floral motifs and chains supporting lotus flowers. In Eastern cultures the butterfly symbolizes various figures and virtues: from the young man in love who approaches his beloved like the butterfly to the flower, but also as a symbol of rebirth, after a metamorphosis.
Chain and pendant are in silver, of the first decades of the 1900s.
The chain is 65 cm long. Dimensions of the butterfly: 115x80 mm. Total weight 94 gr.
