Jacquard reproduction of a painting by Pierre Auguste Cot (1837–1883), a French painter of the Academic Classicism school.
This stunning piece was created during the first decades of the 20th century, in full swing of the Art Nouveau fashion.
It's not a print! Jacquard fabric is obtained by weaving threads of various colors on a loom, with a particular weaving method.
The precise execution allows you to appreciate the details at close range and the perfect use of chiaroscuro makes this image light and in motion, just as conceived by the original artist.
Mounted between two glasses, with a modern wood frame. Adhesive tape on the back holds it in place.
Signed "NF" and "d'apres P.A. COT" at the bottom. In good conditions, slight yellowing due to time.

Non e' una stampa ! Il tessuto Jacquard si ottiene intrecciando fili di vari colori su telaio, con un particolare metodo di tessitura.
L'esecuzione precisa permette di apprezzare i dettagli a distanza ravvicinata e l'utilizzo perfetto del chiaroscuro rende questa immagine leggera ed in movimento, proprio come concepita dall'artista originale.
Montato tra due vetri, cornice in legno moderna. Del nastro adesivo sul retro lo mantiene in posizione.
Firmato "NF" e "d'apres P.A. COT" in basso. In buone condizioni, ha un leggero ingiallimento dovuto al tempo. Dimensioni: tessuto 19.5x38.5 Cm / Cornice 37x57 Cm
