Small oil portrait on wooden tablet.
The style and setting of this work are typical of the decades around the turn of the 1900s.
This romantic figure is represented with the cheerfulness and unscrupulousness that characterize the art of that era.
The portrait is not signed but the expert traits with which the author allows us to read up to the intimate of the subject and with which he animates the expressions of the subjects in the background, denotes a high artistic value.
Perhaps this was a sketch to win the commission for a larger portrait.
The painting is well preserved and the colors have kept their original brilliance.

Lo stile e l'ambientazione di questa opera sono tipici dei decenni a cavallo del 1900.
Questa romantica figura e' rappresentata con l'allegria e spregiudicatezza che caratterizzano l'arte di quella epoca.
Il ritratto non e' firmato ma i tratti esperti con cui l'autore ci permette di leggere fino nell'intimo del soggetto e con cui anima le espressioni dei soggetti in secondo piano, denota un elevato valore artistico.
Forse il bozzetto per vincere la commissione per un ritratto di maggiori dimensioni.
Il dipinto e' ben conservato ed i colori hanno mantenuto la loro brillantezza originale. Si consegna con la cornice, che presenta alcuni piccoli difetti, visibili nelle immagini. Le fotografie sono parte integrante della descrizione.
