This beautiful sculpture of Christ on the cross is of Italian origin, perhaps by a Neapolitan master, from the first half of the 1700s. The polychromy is the original one and the eyes are made of glass.
Despite the lack of arms and some minor damage, the wood is in good conditions of conservation and the disinfestation of woodworms has been carried out.

Questa bella scultura del Cristo in croce e' di origine Italiana, forse di un maestro napoletano, della prima meta' del 1700. La policromia e' quella originale e gli occhi sono di vetro.
Nonostante la mancanza delle braccia ed alcuni danni minori, il legno e' in buone condizioni di conservazione ed e' stata eseguita la disinfestazione dei tarli.
